The Ark of the Covenant is more than just a decoration; that's why people who touched it uninvitedly or looked into it were judged immediately.
But God struck down some of the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh, putting seventy of them to death because they looked into the ark of the Lord. The people mourned because of the heavy blow the Lord had dealt them. - 1 Samuel 6:19
One of the things that the Ark symbolises is God's Presence. God is Spirit, so Mighty that even the heavens of heavens cannot contain Him, but He chooses to wheel His presence through this sacred Ark.
This shows a God who loves His creations and wants to spend time with them. It shows God wants to be with His people. He wants us to know that He's not far away. He's not a father who runs away during childbirth and gives up fatherhood. He wants to have fellowship with you!
Under the New Testament, Christ in us, the Hope of Glory. The Spirit of God dwells in us; the Ark is now within, not without.
"To whom God would make known what is the riches of his glorious mystery among the Gentiles, which riches is Christ in you, the hope of glory," - Colossians 1:27
Emmanuel, God with us. He doesn't abandon His people.
"When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you." - Isaiah 43:2
God wants you to know that He loves you and wants to be within you. Accept Jesus Today and enjoy close intimacy with the Lord.
